Discovery Park of America (DPA) invites local artists to submit artwork for the Artist Showcase. The showcase is an ever changing series of temporary exhibits, each lasting 6 months.
Who: Artists residing in the following counties: Ballard, Benton, Calloway, Carlisle, Carroll, Crocket, Dyer, Fulton, Gibson, Graves, Hickman, Henry, Lake, Marshall, McCracken, Obion or Weakley.
What: Artist Showcase
When: Deadlines for entry will be established semi-annually, with displays being changed at the same rate.
Current Deadlines for submission: TBD
Where: The lower level of Discovery Center, just outside the Art Hall and near the exit to the park grounds.
Why: To share the talents of local artists

Current Winner: John McLaren from Murray, Kentucky. Eight of his works will be on exhibit July through December at Discovery Park of America. The collection, titled “Women in Hats,” will be found on the lower level of Discovery Center near Art Hall.
David Sheridan of Martin, Tennessee. His photographs of Reelfoot Lake were on display through June 2017.
Ann Stapp of Paris, Tennessee. She paints outdoor scenes, striving to capture nature’s beauty.
Les Macdiarmid of Martin, Tennessee. He paints portraits, contemporary pieces, and also has painted over 50 outdoor public murals in West Tennessee.
